Sold // Sam Avedon Pink Shell Chair

I've finally broken down and am putting this one out for sale. Some aging and slight discoloration to the plastic, and some scratching to the legs. Three of the four feet missing, but still is quite comfortable to sit in. Especially nice line around the hip area, the way the inner and outer forms contrast. Unique, rare, and kitschy midcentury find.

  3. @sam avedon´s grandson: if you ever stop by here again, please get in touch! your grandfather´s chair is a totally neglected milestone in design and industrial history. i publish a book and curate a major museum exhibition about plastic chairs - and really badly would love to see it in both. jens.thiel (at) gmail.com
